Frequently asked questions

How long does a session last?

Each session lasts 60 minutes, whether it is an individual session, a couples session, or a family session. You can also schedule longer sessions.

How much does a session cost?

An individual session costs 200 PLN, and a couples or family session costs 250 PLN. The price is the same for in-person and online sessions.

How does payment work?

You pay for the first session in advance, when you schedule the appointment. You pay for subsequent sessions afterwards. BLIK is the most convenient option for me, but we will work it out so that it is convenient for you as well.

What if I cannot make it to my scheduled appointment?

You can cancel your appointment without penalty up to 48 hours before the session. Cancelling later means you will be charged for the session, since the reserved time can no longer be used by anyone else. You will find the details in the terms of service.

Are you a psychologist?

No, I am a psychotherapist. These are two different professions: a psychologist completes a master’s degree in psychology and focuses primarily on diagnosis and assessment. A psychotherapist undergoes separate, comprehensive training lasting at least four years, including personal therapy, and leads the therapeutic process. I trained at the School of Process Psychology in Warsaw and at the Process Work Institute in Portland, I am licensed to provide individual and group psychotherapy, and I work under supervision.

What is the first session like?

It is primarily a time to get to know each other and to see whether I am the right person for you and whether you can trust me. I get to know you a little and form initial hypotheses about the areas we will work on. We also set goals for therapy.

How long does therapy last?

I have no set expectations about this. It could be a few sessions or several dozen. I do not impose a fixed number of sessions in advance either. It is always up to you to decide, depending on the results of our work.

Are sessions available online?

Yes, via Zoom, from anywhere in the world. Online sessions have the same format and duration as in-person sessions.

Can sessions be held in English?

Yes. I conduct individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy in English, both in my office and online.

Does couples therapy make sense if the other person does not want to come?

It is difficult to work with only one half of a couple. We can, however, look at what is happening in the relationship from your perspective and at what you need from it. Sometimes the other person joins later, once they see that it is not about determining who is right.

From what age do you see younger clients?

I work with adolescents from the age of 12. I do not work with younger children, not even in parent and child sessions.

Does what we discuss stay between us?

Yes. I am bound by professional confidentiality. I discuss my work regularly with my supervisor, but always in a way that prevents the identification of the person I am working with. My supervisor is bound by confidentiality as well.

How do I get there, and is there parking?

The office is at Królowej Korony Polskiej 17/1 in Szczecin. Street parking is available in a paid zone, so it is worth allowing a few extra minutes to find a space. The office is on the ground floor, reached by three steps with no ramp, so if you use a wheelchair or stairs are difficult for you, please write or call and we will arrange an online session or find another solution.

Can the visit be covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ)?

No, I work exclusively in private practice and do not have a contract with the NFZ.
